At this meeting, the Coordinator of the Mediterranean Corridor, Mathieu GROSCH, informed of the imminent presentation of the first draft of the Action Plan for this October.
The main conclusions of the “Supporting study on climate change adaptation and cross-border investments required for the implementation of the TEN-T” were also presented.
A concise overview was given of the forthcoming Commission Communication on the development of the high-speed rail network, highlighting its strategic importance in light of the EU’s broader competitiveness and connectivity objectives.
And finally, a concise overview of the European Commission’s White Paper on defense, published in March 2025, was given, highlighting that the document sets out strategic orientations aimed at improving the EU’s defense capabilities, in particular by increasing defense spending, strengthening industrial cooperation and improving operational readiness.
