The managing director of the Trans-Pyrenees Foundation participated in the meeting of the Working Group Lot 8 – Linear Railway Subcommission organized by the ALIA cluster coordinator of this WG. In this first informative meeting with civil actors, the state of the railway infrastructures and their possible adaptation to dual uses (civil and military) was analyzed. Subsequently, progress will be shared with military representatives. The project aims to improve railway connectivity, optimizing infrastructures such as the railroad network of Aragon and access to railway logistics nodes, ensuring their adaptability to both civilian and military needs.
The medium-term objective is to identify civilian and military needs for dual use of infrastructures that will make it possible in the long term to support and complement existing actions for the development of communications with France.
