Elle a \u00e9t\u00e9 inaugur\u00e9e en <strong>1928<\/strong>, co\u00efncidant avec l&rsquo;ouverture de la <strong>gare internationale de Canfranc<\/strong>, con\u00e7ue comme un important centre d&rsquo;\u00e9change ferroviaire entre l&rsquo;Espagne et la France. Malgr\u00e9 cela, la ligne a conserv\u00e9 une valeur strat\u00e9gique et patrimoniale importante. <\/p>\n<p>Sa pertinence transnationale a \u00e9t\u00e9 reconnue en <strong>2013<\/strong>, lorsque la Commission europ\u00e9enne a int\u00e9gr\u00e9 la ligne Saragosse &#8211; Canfranc &#8211; Pau au <strong>r\u00e9seau transeurop\u00e9en de transport (RTE-T<\/strong>), dans le cadre des projets prioritaires pour une connexion ferroviaire durable. Un projet qui vise \u00e0 r\u00e9cup\u00e9rer cet espace ferroviaire historique, mais qui sert \u00e9galement d&rsquo;impulsion \u00e0 la r\u00e9ouverture de la ligne internationale qui traverse les Pyr\u00e9n\u00e9es pour relier Saragosse &#8211;
